Starting with FALLING. IN LOVE (Marche’ du Film Cannes Film Festival) and continuing with a slate of films in development and pre-production, Desert Light is committed to the highest quality in filmed narrative story telling.

FALLING. IN LOVE
is Desert Light Productions’ first film. It was featured at the prestigious Los Angeles International Short Film Festival and the 2003 Marche’ du Film at the Cannes Film Festival.

  • What would go through your mind if you knew these moments would be your last?

  • As a flight attendant falls from her jumbo jet, we see her thoughts in a series of flashbacks. And her final thoughts are of love. She re-lives the bittersweet moments of her love of family and faces her death not with fear, but with love.

  • Informed by the intimately personal phone calls of 9/11 and based on a true incident, FALLING. IN LOVE is a tender, poignant story of what is most important to all of us.

Falling. In Love. - 3.1MB

FALLING stars Susan Egan (Broadway TONY Award nominee for “Beauty and the Beast”) and Robert Casey. It was written and directed by Gregory Doucette. April Adams produced and Philip A. Hoffman designed and served as Co-Producer.

The film is on the cutting edge of some very new technology. Not only does it use the Sony 900 (24P), the same camera used for the latest “Star Wars” movie, but it also is the first film to use the prototypes of the new DigiPrime® Lenses created by the Carl Zeiss Company in Germany and was selected as the alpha test for the KONA card. DLP is grateful to Ted Schilowitz of KONA and to Band Pro Film/Video Inc., Michael Bravin, Chief Technical Officer and Amnon Band, President, for the use of the DigiPrime® Lenses and their continued support.

Greg is fond of bragging to his filmmaker friends: “I used the same camera George Lucas used, but I had better lenses!”

At present, Desert Light Productions has several feature films and television series in various stages of development.
